Inquiry Evaluation

I think the things that i could improve in my Inquiry would have to be to make sure that we have all the equitment and don't get dress untill we have it all.
Also i think that we need to work as a team more and mabey even have a leader or just listen to each othe and don't talk over each other.

The things that we did that was good was have a good set and good actors to work with and to make our footage better.that
Also somthing that was good was all being able to work together and work out or dissagrements well because we were all friends .

If i did it again somthing i would do differently would be to make sure that we had every thing like things were booked and we had all the equitment.

We need to upgrad the toilets

I think some think that i could improve in in my essay would have to be to be to state my thesis a bit better because when i wrote it it some people found it hard to no what my essay was about.
Also somtihing else that i think that i need to use more persiwave terms so it will convince people better and help to state my point.
Somting good that i did in my essay was my topic because i had alot of things to say and argue about

Key Competency Reflection 2007- Draft

Meaning Maker-I have inproved on this because i have been making more sense of things and i can now understand more things than i use to.



Active listner- I think that i have improved in this area because i am listning to more peoples ideas and i am also i am listning to the teachers instructions and i can get things done quicker.

Self motivated- I think i have improved in this area because i can drive myself to do thing and i can do them with out needing other people to tell me to do them and i can use fun things to motivated me.

Math- I think that i have improved in this area because i am alot better at my times tables and i have learnt alot of different skill as well.

Respectful- I think i have improved in this area because i am Respecting the people around me more and i am also Respect my teachers alot better now

P.E- i really think that i have inproved in my PE skills because i am now a much better runner i am alot better at all athletics things.

Creator- I think that i have improved in this area because i can now think about things and the create somthing better and i can now make sure that it is quality.

Flexible- I think i have improved in this area because i will not get angry if something dose not go as i planed it or if it was not meant to happen the way it did.


Goal setter- I think i am a good goal setter because i will set goal that i can achieve and are not out of reach and are not to hard to achieve.


*Technology- Technology would have to be one of the things i have most inproved on with things like first class, blogger, word, excel and inspiration and heaps more like how to make pie charts and graph how to put photos into blogger as well.

goals-Homework

My Personal goal for term 4 is to get on with my homework faster so I do not get behind.
I am doing this goal because I will get my homework and not start it till I see that it has to be in the next day or the one after.
This goal will go on for the whole term.
I will achieve this goal by making shore that every night when I get home I will get on and do some homework.
I will know I have achieved this goal when I do not have so much presher to finsh my homework because I am already ahead.

2. My goal for term 4 is to not give up so fast when we are doing hard math thing.
I am doing this goal because most of the time I will give up too fast and say that it is too hard and I will give up and not give it a good go.
This goal will go on for the whole term.
I will achieve this goal by listing to Mr Clarke’s advice and way that mite help me to slove it.
I will know I have achieved this goal when I am finishing more of the sheet or actives and I will under stand more of the maths.

Goals-Changing tasks

1. My goal for term 4 is to too what we are suppose to be doing quicker ( after morning tea of lunch).
I am doing this goal because I think that I muck around too much when we are ment to be getting on with something.
This goal will go on for the whole term.
I will achieve this goal by making shore that I know what we are doing after morning tea or lunch and make shore that I don’t muck around.
I will know I have achieved this when I am getting to activitys faster and I will be more organized for what we are doing afte morning tea or lunch

Speech Evaluation

I think that my speech went ok the negitives were my timing was 30 sec off and that was because i spoke to fast also that could of been because i was very nevours.

The plus was that i made people laugh and that was one of my goals also varied my work o make it sound more intreresting.

the next step for m would have to be get a better topic so i can make my speech more interresting.

Goals-

Personal:
My personal goal for term 3 is to get into the soccer devloment squad for 2007.
I am doing this goal because it will keep my fitness up and improve my soccer skills.
This goal will go on until soccer permears ends.
I will know I have achieved this when I have tried my best and maby even got into the soccer devloment squad.
I will achieve this by setting asied some time in the week for me to come to school and kick a soccer ball aroung for about 20 minutes.

I do not no if i have achieved this because they have not told us yet.

Goal-Talk less

2.my goal for term 3 is to talk less work more (I talk to much)
I am doing this goal because I talk too much and don’t get enough work done.
This goal will go on for the whole term.
I will achieve this goal by having all my Non-nagotiables done in one and a half weeks unless there is something on there that will take along time.
I will achieve this goal by maby going into the library corner or some where else in the class where it is quiet.

Evaluate: I think i did achieve this because i have not been talking that much at all and i have not even needed to go some where quite.

Term 3 Goals-Tidy Desk

1. My goal for term 3 is to keep my desk tidy
I’m doing this goal because I only keep my desk tidy for about 1 day.
This goal will go on for the whole term.
I will know I have achieved this when my desk is tidy for at least 1 week at a time.
I will achieve this by setting aside 2 minutes every morning if it is messy.

Evaluate: I did not achieve this goal because my desk has been messy for the whole term and i have not set any time aside.

Speech Feedback Term 3 - Why Celebrities Get Too Much Publicity

2.18 Interesting introduction with varied voice and rhetorical questions. You stated your position right at the start of the speech and then built up the speech with examples of different celebrities. You gave a lot of eye contact, mainly to the middle and left of your audience. You gestured with your hands to reinforce points. The pace of your speaking was fine, well done. You also finished on a rhetorical question.

Next Steps:
Put a little more content into the speech with richer examples so that the speech is closer to the time limit.

Kate is going very well in her work the thing that i liked was the picasso art and i really liked her Hansel and Gretel story because it had a surprising ending. I was a bit concerned that mum was faster at solving the maths problem.
Mum
I love the picasso art and really want it to come home and i think that the H.P.D.I was very interesting. I also really liked learning a new method in maths.

I think that my S.L.C went very well because I spoke very cleary and every thing I wanted to sheare i got time to and a next step for me would have to be to not over plan.

My letter

I think that my letter shows that I am getting better at asking usefull qustions. But I think a next step for me is to take more time with my brain storm.

I’m from Fendalton Open-air primary school Christchurch New Zealand.
I love your story The Buske in your book Unbelievable.
I have read so many of your books but this is just the best ever 10/10. It was really sad but very surprising and I think it would have taken a lot of thought for your awsome ending when really the man that thaked to th boy was really The Busker, very inventived.

I’ve got a few questions for you if that in alright.
First how did you come up with the idea for your great story The Busker?
Another thing that I was wondering was are you any thing like any people in the story?
So over all I think that your story was the best thing I’ve ever read dramatic, sad, fun to read and heaps more.

Term 2 Goals-Housework

My personal goal is to do more jobs around the house. I’m doing this goal because I think I need to pull my weight around the house. This goal will go on for the whole term.
I will achieve this goal by unloading the dishwasher more as well as cleaning my room more. I will tidy my room once a week and unload the dishwasher every morning.
I will know I have achieved this when I am helping around that house more.
Evatuate: I don’t think I have achieved this because I stiil think i need to pull my wait more

Term 2 Goals-Eating meals

My personal goal is to eat all of my meals at the dinner table. I’m doing this because I usually go up to my room to eat dinner and watch T.V. This goal is going to go on for the whole term.
I will achieve this by having to eat 6 meals at the dinner table a week. I will put a sign on my door that will say, “Go back downstairs!”
I will know I have achieved this when I have know more about what my family have been doing and what sort of day they have had at school or work.
Evaluate: I do th8ink that I achieved this goal goal because I have had pretty much all of my meals at the dinner table.

Term 2 Goals-Computers

Another goal for term two is to do more things on the computers, like go on first class at home as well as blogger. I’m doing this goal because I don’t use the computer at home, I only go on it at school.
To achieve this goal I will write in my blog 2x a week.
(I could check my blog at the end of the term to see if I did write in it this often).
Eevaluate: I think that I did achieve this because I have been going on it at home and I have got a lot more things in it than I use to.

Term 2 Goals-Interact with people

My goal for term two is to interact with more people in the class.
I’m doing this goal because I want to get to know more people. This goal will last for the whole term.
To do this I could: work with people that I don’t usually work with ehn asked to get into a group, sit with different people at lunchtime, invite new people to my house or put my desk near people I haven’t sat next to.
I know I will achieved this when I have made more friends and know more people in the class.
Evaluate: I think that I half achieved this because I did make more friends and I sat with differen people nut I did not invite different people to my house.

Term1 goal-Puzzle

3.My goal for term 1 is to spend more on hard puzzle.
I am doing this goal because when I don’t get something I will give up.
This goal will go on for the whole term.
I will achieve this goal by spending at least 10 minutes before I give up on it.

2.My goal for term 1 is to interact with more people in the class.

Hansel and Gretel

Once upon a time there were two evil kids, one was called Hansel and the other was called Gretel. Both were as evil as each other. Gretel looked like a sweet little girl with blond hair and blue eyes and she wore a cute little pink dress. Hansel looked like a real gentleman, he had brown hair and blue eyes and he wore some denim dungarees. But they were not cute and cuddly, they were evil. Who knows why? Their parents were so very kind and they were so rich that they got everything they wanted. They lived in an enormous mansion in the outskirts of Goldenville where all the rich people lived.

One day, they all went to the mall to get the kids everything that they wanted. First they went into a lolly shop, they gave the kids $20 each to spend, but that was not enough. The children cried and begged and they got $50 and they spent it ALL!!! Gretel managed to save a little of the money in case of emergencies.

Next they went to a car shop to get a new car for their Dad. Hansel and Gretel had different ideas, they wanted a self-driving limo and there they saw one. “That will be perfect for us,” said Hansel and they hopped in for a test drive. Ahh!!! They got a humungous fright. There right in front of them sat The Evil Fairy (dun, dun, dunnn…).

Suddenly The Evil Fairy flew off into the sky taking Hansel and Gretel with her. Gretel, the smarter one, opened the window and started to drop coins out of it. This created a trail and they could find their way home, once they got free from The evil fairy. Seemingly they thought they had been in the air for hours. Back at the mall their parents were still in amazement and sad their little babies were gone, but happy also, because they could finally have time to themselves and for their dream - making mud pies.

(Eeer…) Hansel and Gretel’s trip had finally come to a stop. “Get out!” said The Evil Fairy. They stood in shock at what was before them - a 5-storey house made of lollies, chocolate and gingerbread. Walking in the gate they snapped off a piece and ate it. It was the best thing they had ever tasted in their entire life. Suddenly it grew back, “It grows back don’t wear it out,” said The Evil Fairy. “I want you to eat lots and lots of food to keep your strength up,” said The Evil Fairy, but really she wanted them to get fat so that she could eat them. Locking them up into separate bedrooms so they could not plot an escape was a very big challenge for The Evil Fairy.

She would give the children a three course meal every hour on the hour and it was impossible to resist the lovely food she had cooked for them.
Day by day, week by week, they began to get so fat they could not see their feet. Then The Evil Fairy said to herself: “they’re ready to be cooked for my best meal yet.” She got the kids to hop into a warm bath, but really, she wanted them to hop into the boiling pot of water.

Hansel said, “This is a bit hot for me.”
“Me too,” said Gretel.
“Ha, ha,” cackled The Evil Fairy, “it’s not a bath,” she said.
“Then you must be cooking us,” said Gretel.
“Aah, that’s correct,” and you’re too late to stop me,” said The Evil Fairy.
“Maybe, but if we get cooked you get cooked with us,” said Hansel. They pulled her into the pot and they did not live happily ever after.

However, Hansel and Gretel’s Mum and Dad lived happily ever after because they adopted two lovely little kids called Ancil and Kettle.
